Michele Mente
Michele Mente is the daughter of Immanuel members Richard and Ginger Mente and comes to us as a transfer from Pilgrim Lutheran. She says she enjoys the sermons at Immanuel and is excited to come to services each week.
Michele teaches Languages Arts at Northwest Lutheran School to grades 6, 7, and 8. Her favorite novel to teach is Lois Lowry’s classic, The Giver, because it generates “a lot of good discussions, the kids love it, and a lot of fun activities go with it,” Michele says.
For Michele, the highlight of each school year is the 8th-grade mission trip. Last spring, she went with her students to Texas, where they shared God with small children in the community at an after-school program, and did repair work and clean-up to local buildings and streams. This year the group is planning a similar trip to St. Louis in May.
Michele resides with her parents and her two cats, Oliver and Frankie, in Brookfield. In her free time, she enjoys reading, playing cross-word puzzles, and playing co-ed volleyball in local recreation leagues.
Say hello to this friendly young lady at the 9:30 service time!
Rachel and Kaylee TringaliRachel Tringali and her daughter Kaylee, 8, are transfers to Immanuel from Calvary Lutheran in Whitewater. They reside in Butler, and Rachel first noticed Immanuel during her commute to Kohl’s Corporate Office, where she works in advertising and marketing. She is also acquainted with Immanuel member Krista Nelson, whose daughter, Sammi, goes to Marcy Elementary School with Kaylee.
Rachel says one of her favorite hobbies is reading inspiring true stories, but she has little leisure time for reading at present, as she is planning her September wedding with her fiancé, Lance. Pastor Schneider will be marrying the couple at the Milwaukee War Memorial, overlooking Lake Michigan.
Please welcome Rachel and Kaylee at our 9:30 service time!
Jason JohnsonNew member Jason Johnson may look familiar to some members of our congregation – he grew up attending Immanuel Lutheran Church and School. After living in Cincinnati and Kansas City, Jason and his wife Kellie moved back to the Milwaukee area about a year-and-a-half ago. They are now settled in Sussex, and welcomed their first child, a baby boy named Brody Daniel, on January 20th. Brody was baptized February 28th at Immanuel.
Jason works as an outside salesman for a wholesale plumbing supply house. Kellie is a senior financial analyst for Kohl’s Corporate Office.
Jason coaches youth baseball at Milwaukee Lutheran High School. He also attends the sporting events of his nephews, who attend Our Redeemer Lutheran School. Jason and Kellie enjoy traveling around the country to see friends, who live as close as Madison and as distant as New York City.
Please welcome this young family at the 9:30 service time!
Heather SnamiskaHeather Snamiska, a new transfer from Bethlehem Lutheran in Menomonee Falls, is joining our Immanuel family and also a specific Immanuel family as well: she is the fiancée of Sean Clinard, son of Randy and Mary Jane Clinard. Heather and Sean will celebrate their wedding at Immanuel on June 26th.
Heather is currently living in Menomonee Falls and working as an office manager at Kessler’s Diamonds in Greenfield.
In her leisure time, Heather enjoys reading, doing puzzles, and going to Brewers games.
Please welcome this young lady at the 8:00 or 9:30 service time!5.
Jessica SmithJessica Smith may not be living nearby, but she already feels at home at Immanuel. Jessica is married to Justin Smith, son of Immanuel members Andy and Barb Smith. She and Justin are living near St. Louis, Missouri while he completes the next four years of his seminary training.
Jessica says she appreciates having Immanuel as “A church to call home until my husband receives his first Call.” She requests congregational prayer and support for Justin as he studies at the seminary and for her as she awaits the opening of a school teaching position. Jessica also has joyful news to share with our congregation: her brother and sister-in-law (who live in Florida) had a baby girl in December!!
Jessica’s hobbies include photography, scrap-booking, baking and cooking, and traveling. These interests are overshadowed, though, by her enthusiasm for working with children.
Jessica loves relating to children in both her professional and her private life. She is currently working at Monsanto Child Development Center. At church, teaching children keeps Jessica passionate about sharing her faith. “I love the next VBS curriculum and teaching Sunday School,” she says.
Another way Jessica grows in her walk with the Lord is through attending church services. “I am there to worship and strengthen my faith in Christ,” she says.
Please keep Jessica and Justin in your prayers and make them welcome on their visits home to Immanuel!
