Many of us are forced to ride the ups and downs, driven to worry and fear in view of force reductions, drops in 401k account values and continuing challenges to pay bills and make the numbers work.

This fall, our congregation is seeking to engage every member into a process that helps us become more effective managers of the gifts that God gives. This is an opportunity to grow your heart through God’s Word and your skills through management of the resources God gives in such a way as to dispel worry, so that you can live the words of Jesus, “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear.”

Each household that participates is asked to make a $100 investment for the materials. It is an investment that will pay great dividends in the years that follow.

We are looking for volunteers that would be willing to babysit during the Financial Peace University classes that will begin in September and go for 13 weeks. Each class runs for no longer than 2 hours and any length of commitment during the course of the program would be greatly appreciated. It provides a great opportunity for parents to attend the classes who may otherwise be unable to. If you are willing to be of service in this area please contact Matt Schneider or Susan Haley

Thank you!
